Marylebone in short

  • Best for: a central stay that still feels residential, with the park close.
  • Character: Georgian streets, an independent high street, the Wallace Collection and Wigmore Hall.
  • Getting around: Bond Street (Elizabeth, Jubilee, Central) and Baker Street (five lines), with Marylebone station for Chiltern services.
  • Our apartments: none of our own yet; a Marylebone apartment comes from our curated list, by enquiry.

The area

Marylebone sits between Oxford Street and Regent’s Park, and it keeps a scale the streets either side of it have lost. Marylebone High Street runs for a few hundred metres with independent shops, a bookshop, butchers and cafés, and a farmers’ market on Sundays behind it.

The Wallace Collection occupies a townhouse on Manchester Square, Wigmore Hall gives chamber concerts most evenings, and Harley Street’s consulting rooms run through the eastern half. At the top of the area, Regent’s Park and the boating lake begin.

Nearby

South across Oxford Street is Mayfair, with Bond Street and Berkeley Square.

Getting around

  • Bond Street station, at the southern edge, serves the Elizabeth, Jubilee and Central lines.
  • Baker Street serves the Bakerloo, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Jubilee and Metropolitan lines.
  • Marylebone station runs Chiltern Railways services towards Oxford and Birmingham.
  • Regent’s Park, Oxford Street and the West End are all within a walk.

How a stay in Marylebone is arranged

Our own apartments are in Canary Wharf. An apartment in Marylebone comes from our curated list of luxury apartments across London, arranged by enquiry: you tell the concierge your dates, party and what matters, and our team confirms the apartment, whose it is, what it costs and the terms in writing before you commit to anything.

Around the stay we coordinate the rest of the visit: a chauffeur or airport transfer, restaurant reservations, a private jet through licensed operators, and hospitality at football, Formula 1 and concerts through providers who hold agreements with the clubs and promoters.

Common questions

Do you have your own apartments in Marylebone?

Not yet. Our own apartments are in Canary Wharf. A Marylebone apartment is arranged through our curated list, and we tell you whose apartment it is and the terms before you commit.

Is Marylebone central?

Yes. Oxford Street is at its southern edge and the West End is a walk away, but the streets themselves are residential and quiet.

Which station is best for Heathrow?

Bond Street, on the Elizabeth line, runs to Heathrow without changing. A car can also be arranged, which suits arrivals with luggage.

What can you arrange for a longer stay?

Housekeeping, a chauffeur, restaurant reservations and anything else a stay needs. Tell the concierge how long you are staying and what matters, and we will put it together.
