Jumeirah in short

  • Best for: beaches, a quieter low-rise stay, and families.
  • Character: villas and low-rise streets behind Jumeirah Beach Road, with La Mer, Kite Beach and the Burj Al Arab along the shore.
  • Getting around: mostly by car along Jumeirah Beach Road; the Metro runs inland along Sheikh Zayed Road.
  • Our apartments: none of our own; a stay in Jumeirah is arranged through a partner, by enquiry.

The area

Jumeirah runs along the coast from the edge of the old city towards Umm Suqeim, and it is the part of Dubai that feels most like a residential seaside town: villas, low-rise streets and public beaches, with Jumeirah Beach Road running parallel to the shore.

At its northern end, La Mer has beachfront restaurants and cafés, and Jumeirah Bay Island, a small private island joined by a bridge, is home to the Bulgari Resort and Residences. Further south, Kite Beach runs towards the Burj Al Arab and Madinat Jumeirah.

Nearby

A short drive inland, Downtown Dubai has Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall. Further down the coast, Palm Jumeirah has the resort hotels of the Crescent.

Getting around

  • Jumeirah Beach Road runs the length of the district, parallel to the sea.
  • The Metro Red Line runs inland along Sheikh Zayed Road, a short drive from the coast.
  • Downtown Dubai and DIFC are a short drive inland.
  • A chauffeur is the simplest way to move along the coast and into the city.

How a stay in Jumeirah is arranged

We have no apartments of our own in Dubai. An apartment in Jumeirah is arranged through a partner, by enquiry: you tell the concierge your dates, party and what matters, and our team confirms the apartment, whose it is, what it costs and the terms in writing before you commit to anything. Every apartment we put forward for a short stay holds a holiday home permit from Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism.

Around the stay we coordinate the rest of the visit: a chauffeur or airport transfer, restaurant reservations, and a private jet through licensed operators.

Common questions

Do you have your own apartments in Jumeirah?

Not yet. We have no apartments of our own in Dubai. An apartment here is arranged through a partner, and we tell you whose it is, what it costs and the terms, in writing, before you commit.

Is Jumeirah good for beaches?

Yes. La Mer, Kite Beach and a line of public beaches run the length of the district.

What is Jumeirah Bay Island?

A small private island off the Jumeirah coast, joined to the mainland by a bridge, and home to the Bulgari Resort and Residences.

Are holiday apartments in Jumeirah licensed?

Yes. Any apartment let for stays of less than a year in Dubai must hold a holiday home permit from the Department of Economy and Tourism, and we only put forward apartments that hold one.
