The area
The Palm reaches out into the Gulf from the coast between Dubai Marina and Al Sufouh: a central trunk lined with towers, residences and hotels, fronds of private villas either side, and a crescent-shaped breakwater around the whole, where the resort hotels stand, Atlantis The Palm and Atlantis The Royal among them.
Much of the island’s life happens by the water. West Beach and the Golden Mile along the trunk have cafés, restaurants and beach clubs, Palm Jumeirah Mall sits at the heart of the trunk, and The View at The Palm looks back over the whole island. It is a place to stay put for a while, with the city a drive away when you want it.
Nearby
Across the water at the foot of the island, Dubai Marina is a short drive, or a ride on the monorail and tram. Further along the coast, Bluewaters Island sits just off JBR, quieter and smaller in scale.
Getting around
- The Palm Monorail stops at Palm Gateway, Al Ittihad Park, Palm Jumeirah Mall and Atlantis Aquaventure.
- At Palm Gateway the monorail meets the Dubai Tram, which runs through Dubai Marina and JBR and connects with the Metro Red Line at Sobha Realty and DMCC.
- By car, the island joins Sheikh Zayed Road, the main route to Downtown Dubai, DIFC and Dubai International Airport.
- A chauffeur is the simplest way to move between the Palm and the rest of the city, and can be arranged for the whole stay.

An apartment in Palm Jumeirah is arranged through a partner, by enquiry: you tell the concierge your dates, party and what matters, and our team confirms the apartment, whose it is, what it costs and the terms in writing before you commit to anything. Every apartment we put forward for a short stay holds a holiday home permit from Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism.
Around the stay we coordinate the rest of the visit: a chauffeur or airport transfer, restaurant reservations, and a private jet through licensed operators.
